What is an ASC?

An Alumni Schools Chairperson (ASC) is a member of a Notre Dame alumni club who serves as a liaison between the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and that club. ASCs typically sit on their club’s board and provide frequent updates and information to the club about local recruitment efforts and the admissions process. Depending on the size of the club, ASCs may form committees to complete their activities as effectively and efficiently as possible.

An ASC has two main responsibilities: to attend college fairs in the fall and contact admitted students from his or her area after Early Action decisions are released in December and Regular Action decisions are released in March. ASCs become the local face of an international university and are valuable members of the Notre Dame Family.
