Over the course of your academic career at Notre Dame, you’ll find yourself traversing the beautiful campus to get to classes, meetings, events, or simply to take a break from studying. While we call 1,265 acres "home," the campus actually isn’t overwhelmingly large, and there are several ways to get where you need to go—just plan ahead to make sure you get there on time!

Skateboards

Skateboards, penny boards, and longboards are a popular way to travel, for their portability, speed, and style. With skateboards, you can zoom to class by yourself or travel with friends. Plus, it adds some cool points when you’re among friends that don’t ride skateboards.

Scooters

Time to dig out that razor scooter from when you were in middle school—scooters are fast and easy to navigate on the paved pathways on campus. Though not quite as portable as skateboards, they don’t require as much skill, so it gets the job done just as well!

Bikes

Biking is one of the fastest modes of transportation you can bring to campus, and it’s one of the most customizable, in speed and style. Don’t be afraid to personalize your bike, because it’ll help you find it easily among the others! Aside from bringing your own bike, you can take advantage of the LimeBikes that were recently introduced on campus.

Walking

Last but certainly not least, you can trust your own feet to get you where you need to go! It usually takes less than 15 minutes to get to any building in the central part of campus, and it’s good for your health. Get those 10,000 steps in easily when you have two or three classes and at least two meals a day!
