ND Campus Visit

Appointments

Please schedule an appointment for an information session and tour online or by calling (574) 631-7505 Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern time. You will be asked to provide your full name, your birthdate, your mailing address, your home telephone number, and the year you will graduate from high school as well as the date and session time best suited for your travel plans. Because we have so many visitors, it is necessary for prospective applicants and their families to schedule their visits in advance.

Arrivals

You should plan to arrive on campus at least 30 minutes before your appointment to give yourself ample time to walk to the Main Building and check in. Visitor parking is located on the southern edge of campus (click here for a map).  All information sessions and tours meet in Room 220 of the Main Building, the building underneath the Golden Dome. Room 220 is the spacious reception area to the right after you come up the large outdoor staircase.

Information Sessions

Led by an admissions counselor, information sessions are structured to give prospective applicants of high school age an overview of Notre Dame’s application process, admission criteria, financial aid system, academic organization, and student life. Parents and students attend together and are encouraged to ask questions. Sessions are most helpful when you attend them before completing an application.

Tours

Guided by current Notre Dame students, tours visit the main attractions of Notre Dame’s campus and also give parents and prospective applicants a current student’s perspective of life here. A tour will automatically follow your scheduled information session. There is no need to schedule a tour. Due to a large number of visitors and time constraints, tours do not visit residence hall rooms at any time. No tours are held on the Saturdays of home football games.

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions offers information sessions and tours twice daily for most of the year. During the week, information sessions begin at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Eastern time, and are followed by campus tours at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Eastern time.

In the months of March, April, September, October, November, and December, Saturday information sessions are offered at 9:00 a.m. and 10:15 am Eastern time and are followed by tours at 10:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Eastern time, with no tours held on the Saturdays of home football games. Check the Visit Calendar link below to see what will be offered at the time of your visit.

Day Host

Seniors in high school may request to have a day host during their visit. High school seniors are paired with current Notre Dame students in order to sit in on classes, eat in the dining hall, visit a residence hall, and explore campus.
