What is your favorite campus tradition?

My favorite tradition is singing the Alma Matter after football games. The feeling of being among the huge mass of students singing along to Notre Dame's hymn with such spirit and energy is indescribable.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

The Grotto

What is your best Notre Dame memory?

The first mass in Welcome Weekend. Experiencing this special moment with my family and new friends was really special.

What is your favorite Dining Hall Meal?

My favorite meal is Pizza. You cannot miss the South Dining hall Pizza section.

What is your favorite thing about dorm life?

Getting to know a considerable amount of people from different majors, years, and backgrounds. Dorm life is the best way to approach the community at Notre Dame.

What clubs/activities are you involved in?

I am part of a business club called SIBC and will join the Society of Women Engineers.

What made you choose Notre Dame?

While choosing among schools, I sought to find a place that both provided a high quality education and made me feel like home. It took me less than a day to realize Notre Dame was the perfect match. The deep sense of community and the people's warmth that I got to experience during my visit convinced me that Notre Dame was the right choice.

What is your favorite part about being an international student at Notre Dame?

The possibility to share my culture with others and being able to learn from others' cultures as well.

How did you adjust to life on campus?

Adjusting to life on campus has been very easy for me. Living among other students in my hall who understand what transition to college is like and give such valuable advice is very helpful. Also, I felt very welcomed in the Latino community.

How do you celebrate your culture/heritage at ND?

I like getting together with Peruvian students to watch soccer games, hanging out with Latinos and speaking Spanish with friends.

What advice do you have for international students?

Try to get to know as many people as you can! Establishing a strong network both inside and outside the hall is crucial to living the Notre Dame experience to the fullest and adjusting to life on campus.
