What is your favorite campus tradition?
My favourite campus tradition has to be gameday. I had never experienced American Football before coming here, and there is no better gameday experience than at the University of Notre Dame!
What is your favorite spot on campus?
There are so many cool spots on campus, but my favourite has to be the walk along Notre Dame Avenue in front of the dome. It is such a pretty view, especially in the Autumn.
What is your best Notre Dame memory?
It is impossible to pick just one favourite memory that I have at Notre Dame so far. I would say that the dorm community is so special here, and I have made many memories with my friends in the dorm.
What is your favorite Dining Hall Meal?
My favourite dining hall meal is the spicy chicken sandwich, but I think all the food there is good
What is your favorite thing about dorm life?
I love the community and traditions of the dorm. Everything about the community is so special. I am in O'Neill Family Hall (the best dorm on campus!) and we have a cool tradition of hosting Ms. ND
What clubs/activities are you involved in?
Last year I worked in South Dining Hall, and I was involved in Club Rugby as well as the I.T. Analytics Club
What made you choose Notre Dame?
I chose to come to Notre Dame after I was fortunate enough to come visit. I thought that it was such a special place with an amazing community, and it was an opportunity that I could not pass up on.
What is your favorite part about being an international student at Notre Dame?
My favourite part about being an international student is getting exposed to so many different cultures. Whether it is meeting other international students, or meeting people from different parts of the U.S. (which I have come to learn can be very different), I love interacting with and learning about people who have come from a different background than me.
How did you adjust to life on campus?
It was definitely a little challenging adjusting to university life, especially in a different country, however it was not as challenging as I thought it would be. I would say that a way to help the adjustment to university life is to simply be busy. The busier you are, the less time you have to worry about the little things that make the adjustment even harder.
How do you celebrate your culture/heritage at ND?
I celebrate my culture at Notre primarily by watching English sports. It is fun watching the Premier League with my American friends, and introducing them to new sports such as rugby is also really fun, particularly during the Rugby World Cup last year
What advice do you have for international students?
My advice to international students would simply be to take advantage of every opportunity on campus. Don't hesitate to join new clubs and try new things. I would also stress that you should not hesitate or feel scared to participate or interact with new people. Just because you may talk differently than everyone else or have a different accent, it will only make people want to talk to you even more! Overall, just take advantage of everything that Notre Dame has to offer, it is such a special place
