What is your favorite campus tradition?

Too many to choose from! My top 3 are going to Drummer's Circle at midnight; singing the Alma Mater with my closest friends after every football game; and the massive snowball fight on South Quad after the first snowfall of the year!

What is your favorite spot on campus?

The bench outside Carroll Hall that's next to the lake -- you get the perfect view of the sunset with the Dome and the Basilica too.

What is your best Notre Dame memory?

Winning the Clemson game and storming the field with all my best friends! That is a moment that will stay with me forever. Go Irish!!!

What is your favorite Dining Hall Meal?

Reese's Peanut Butter Pie (I have a massive sweet tooth -- and this is just delicious!)

What is your favorite thing about dorm life?

Living down the hall from all your best friends -- I love being able to take 10 steps and just pop in their room for a chat or to hang out. The community really can't be beat!

What clubs/activities are you involved in?

Notre Dame Scholars Program, ND Admissions Tour Guide, International Admissions Assistant, Fundamentals of Computing TA, Student Athlete Tutor

What made you choose Notre Dame?

The people! I had always wanted to go to a great academic institution (which ND most definitely is), but what fully sold me on ND was the people. There's just something magical about the ND Family that attracts great people who constantly inspire me to be a better person. Coming here was the best decision I have ever made!

What is your favorite part about being an international student at Notre Dame?

Sharing my unique experiences, culture and background with my friends; and learning all about their cultures and backgrounds too! Also cooking food from home for them!

How did you adjust to life on campus?

I went in with an open mind and no expectations. I just took it day by day, and tried to get involved with anything and everything that caught my interest. When I didn't understand something, I asked, and people are always happy to talk to me and teach me something new!

How do you celebrate your culture/heritage at ND?

With food! I love making dishes from home and sharing a piece of my home and culture with my friends! Whether it's soy sauce chicken, beef rendang, or nasi lemak -- so far everything has been a hit!

What advice do you have for international students?

Water always seeks its own level--so don't worry if you aren't fitting in straight away, or if it takes some time for you to find your place and your people here at Notre Dame. Don't put unnecessary pressure on yourself to do so, and don't feel bad if it doesn’t happen immediately. There are some amazing people here, that have 100% made me into a much better person. So keep and open mind, be kind to yourself, and don't hesitate to be fearless and make the first move!
