The love and support of your dorm’s community - it really does feel like family and everybody genuinely wants to help you succeed!

What made you choose Notre Dame?
I felt so welcomed and wanted at Notre Dame thought the entire admissions process and truly felt that I would be a member of ND for life, as opposed to just attending for 4 years.
What is your favorite part about being an international student at Notre Dame?
Definitely striking a balance between bonding with other International Students and learning more about American culture.
How did you adjust to life on campus?
I relied a lot on my dorm and on upperclassmen to help me get adjusted and find my way
How do you celebrate your culture/heritage at ND?
In terms of the ND community, I am part of the Arabic Club, but on a personal level, I take every opportunity I can to talk to people and teach them about Arabic culture, my experiences in Dubai, and the similarities and differences between different cultures.
What advice do you have for international students?
Bring memories from home, try to make it to International Orientation to meet other students like you, and be proud of your heritage- the Notre Dame community will celebrate and embrace it
