What is your favorite campus tradition?
Singing the alma mater with the football athletics at the end of each game, especially when the Irish win!

7th floor in Corbett Family Hall

What is your best Notre Dame memory?
The first glimpse of the Golden Dome as driving toward the main building on the Notre Dame Avenue.

What is your favorite Dining Hall Meal?
Chocolate ice-cream in the south dining hall

What is your favorite thing about dorm life?
Duncan Hall’s “The Green Blazer”

What clubs/activities are you involved in?
The math club, the investment club, and Chinese Student & Scholar Association (CSSA)

What made you choose Notre Dame?
Notre Dame’s focus on undergraduate education makes it a perfect home for me. It has all the resources of a large school, while the faculty direct their energy to the undergrads. Here, it cannot be easier to discuss with anyone anytime to find my future path among boundless choices. People are truly willing to provide advice and potential opportunities for my future career.

What is your favorite part about being an international student at Notre Dame?
Teaching people Chinese

How did you adjust to life on campus?
I started writing a reminder every day. There are many work to do in college every day, and some of them are more than daily homework and extracurricular activities. It is a great way to pace myself and manage my time wisely.

How do you celebrate your culture/heritage at ND?
Having Chinese Food or outside of the school (with friends) at weekends!

What advice do you have for international students?
There are more and more opportunities for STEM students at Notre Dame than I thought before, and the resources here are constantly growing every year. IDEA Center, many STEM programs cooperated with the tech giants throughout the world, and even the supports for students to set their real startups. There are unlimited opportunities for gluing the liberal arts education and the power of modern technology here. It is time for us to explore and show our special perspectives to others!
