The University of Notre Dame is proud to partner with QuestBridge, a nonprofit organization that matches high-achieving, low-income students with scholarship and educational opportunities at selective colleges and universities across the country.

Notre Dame is dedicated to providing qualified students with a diverse array of backgrounds, talents, and interests the opportunity for an unparalleled educational experience. If you are a high school senior who has demonstrated outstanding academic ability despite financial challenges, consider applying via QuestBridge.

How It Works

  • Step 1: Apply
Start your free, online National College Match application via the QuestBridge website. The application deadline is September 27.
  • Step 2: Rank
Rank up to 12 colleges and universities with which you'd like to be matched, and submit your signed Match Agreement Form to be considered for early admission and a full four-year College Match Scholarship.
  • Step 3: QuestBridge Selects Finalists
If you are selected as a QuestBridge finalist and you ranked colleges and universities via QuestBridge, you will be considered for a College Match Scholarship. If you are not selected as a finalist, you will not be considered for a College Match Scholarship, but we still encourage you to apply directly to Notre Dame in Restrictive Early Action or Regular Decision to be considered for both admission and need-based financial aid
  • Step 4: Complete Your Application by November 1

In addition to your QuestBridge application and materials, we also require: either the Common Application or Coalition Application, the Notre Dame Writing Supplement, and an official SAT or ACT score.  When submitting your Common Application or Coalition Application, it is important that all Finalists ranking Notre Dame choose the Restrictive Early Action deadline in order to be considered for the College Match.

Your application fee will be waived during the application process. View specific instructions for having your Common Application or Coalition Application fee waived here

The 2019-20 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and 2019-20 CSS Profile are also required by the priority date of November 1 for College Match consideration. Students should submit supplemental financial documentation through the College Board Institutional Documentation Service (IDOC) portal by December 15.

  • Step 5: Receive Your Decision
If you are eligible for the College Match, you will learn directly from QuestBridge on December 3 if you have been matched with a partner school.

Finalists who have ranked Notre Dame but are not matched with a QuestBridge partner school will receive a Restrictive Early Action decision in mid-December. If you are not matched to Notre Dame, you may still be admitted; Notre Dame is fully committed to meeting the full demonstrated financial need for all undergradate students for all four years.
