Izzy Carhart
Izzy is a Senior from Menlo Park, California, majoring in economics and applied and computational math and statistics (ACMS). Although she now lives off campus, she was previously a resident of Howard Hall on campus.
Of Howard she says, “Even from the first moment I pulled up to Howard during Welcome Weekend of freshman year, it has felt like home. Howie has brought me my best friends, my happiest memories, and my greatest support system. Once a duck, always a duck, and I couldn’t be prouder to be one!”
She is involved as an Undergraduate Research for the Learning Analytics and Measurement in Behavioral Sciences Lab on campus, a Teaching Assistant for the Economics Department, and a Tour Guide for the Office of Admissions. Izzy recently returned from a semester abroad in London, United Kingdom in the Fall of 2021. While in London, she was able to experience what she was learning inside the classroom by visiting 14 countries.
Izzy’s favorite Notre Dame tradition is the snowball fight after the first snow of the year.
Among other things, you can ask Izzy about changing majors/not knowing what you want to study, Study Abroad, undergraduate research, or what it is like to be a non-Catholic student on the Notre Dame campus!
