Hi everyone! My name is John Sebastian Thörn, but I go by Jazz or JS! I am a senior this year, majoring in Business Analytics with a minor in Medieval Studies. This is my first year working with the ND Admissions team and I am extremely excited to get started!
Ever since I was seven I have lived in a small town in rural Vermont - for those who haven’t been to small-town Vermont before, it is exactly what it looks like in all of the Hallmark holiday movies. My dad is from Sweden and my mom grew up in New York but is part Irish, and before Vermont I lived in Denmark, Malaysia, and China.
At Notre Dame, I lived in Keenan Hall for my first three-years, so go Knights!!! After I graduate, I will be living in New York City working for an aviation consulting company. On campus, I have been involved in Chess Club, Investment Club, SIBC, and also some volunteer work at the Dismas House in South Bend!
Some of my favorite things about Notre Dame is how many opportunities there are outside of the classroom for us to learn and grow, particularly in the clubs and organizations here. What I am looking most forward to this year is football games with a full stadium, having North Dining Hall be fully open and normal again, and enjoying my last year at ND!
