Transferring to Notre Dame

The University of Notre Dame welcomes transfer applicants because we value the diverse experiences and perspectives of students who have spent time at other colleges and universities. Whether you are interested in Notre Dame for our highly regarded academic programs, the close-knit community and tradition of the Notre Dame “family,” the Catholic character and abundant opportunities for spiritual growth, the strong athletic programs and unparalleled school spirit, or countless other reasons, we encourage you to explore the possibility of transferring to Notre Dame.

Due to enrollment limitations, Notre Dame cannot accept transfer applications for the Mendoza College of Business, nor are transfer students allowed to move to the Mendoza College of Business from another college or school within the University. Additionally, transfer students to the College of Science cannot apply to the Science-Business and Chemistry-Business majors, nor the Mathematics Business Administration Concentration or the Actuary Minor.  Unfortunately, we do not anticipate a change to this policy in the foreseeable future.
