Counselor Portal

Slate.org for School Counselors

The University of Notre Dame is now using Slate.org as a resource for high school counselors to check on the status of students in the admissions process. Slate.org is a free tool and will allow us to communicate details about applicants to you in an efficient and effective manner.

What is Slate.org?

Slate.org is a free tool for school counselors to check on the status of their students in the admission process. Slate.org also allows counselors to securely submit application-related materials directly to colleges and universities.

Your school will need to be registered on Slate.org, as well as any staff members who will be utilizing the site. Please register through the “Counselors Join Here” link at Slate.org. If you have any questions or issues, please email info@slate.org.

One member of your school will be designated to manage permissions through Slate.org. More information can be found here.

What can I submit or view for my Notre Dame applicants in Slate.org?

  • Upload documents (e.g., transcripts, grade reports, letters of recommendation) Deadlines: REA Supporting Documents - November 15, 2023. RD Supporting Documents: January 15, 2024.
  • Track your applicant’s status
  • View applicant’s decision after it is released to the student (Note: there may be a system delay from when decisions are released to the student and when they are updated in Slate.org)

My school already utilizes another platform to submit documents electronically. Do I need to use Slate.org to submit documents?

Please feel free to continue to submit documents electronically through your preferred method. Slate.org is another method to submit documents securely. Even if you typically utilize one of these options, there may be times you find a need to submit a grade report, corrected transcript, or other non-standard document.
