Ella is a junior political science major from North Aurora, Illinois, with minors through the Hesburgh Program in Public Service and in Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Ella lives in Farley Hall, and her favorite hall tradition is Farley’s Potato Fest.
Ella chose Notre Dame to be part of something bigger. "I chose ND because I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself. When I first visited campus, there was a tangible feeling in the air, one where you knew that the people here are committed to the success of each other just as much as they are to themselves," Ella says. "The common good is at the forefront of everything we do here, and that is why I knew I had to be a member of this family."
On campus, Ella is a Tour Guide and Social Media Specialist for Admissions, the Signature Events Director for Farley Hall, President of BridgeUSA ND, director of Active Minds, and founder of the Dear Notre Dame Initiative. Ella is also a McNeill Common Good Fellow and a Democracy Initiative Fellow. As a McNeill independent researcher, Ella spent last summer studying what it takes to cultivate belonging in everyday spaces, using Disney World as a case study.
