Favorite place on campus:
The tunnel of the stadium! As a member of the Band of the Fighting Irish, I had the unique opportunity to rush through the tunnel onto the field every game day to perform for 80,000 cheering fans. All Notre Dame students will get to experience the tunnel twice, first as a first year student during welcome weekend and second as a senior during graduation!

South Bend recommendation:
Go to a South Bend Cubs game at Four Winds Field! It is not far from campus and in the spring and summer the baseball games are so much fun! If it's wintertime, go ice skating and drink hot chocolate at Howard Park!

Advice for Applicants:
When deciding how many and which universities to apply to, remember quality over quantity in your applications. You know yourself best, so look for schools that will challenge you but also allow you to flourish. This will vary from person to person, so remember that the goal is not to apply to as many schools as humanly possible. Rather, the goal is to identify and apply to the ones that will best suit your particular wants and needs.

Remember this if you find yourself comparing yourself to your peers who may be applying to more schools than you. No two people will have the same journey throughout this process, so there is no right or wrong number of schools to apply to; however, there are right and wrong environments for every individual. Carefully look into what different schools have to offer and decide which ones would be the best fit for you, then submit authentic and genuine applications to each of those schools.
