Aya Abdelnaby
Class of 2025
  • Major(s): Marketing and Economics
  • Minor(s): History
  • Hometown: Stroudsburg, PA

Aya is a sophomore from Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania majoring in marketing and economics, as well as minoring in history.

On campus, she lives in Pasquerilla East Hall. When asked about life in Pasquerilla East (PE), she says, “There has not been a moment since I stepped into PE where I have not felt completely safe, welcomed, and at home. The girls in PE truly have become some of the most important people in my life in a very short amount of time. We believe in creating a close community where no PE girl is ever made to feel left out or excluded. I know that I will forever cherish the time I have spent here and have gratitude for all of the amazing memories the community has provided me with.”

Aya has also committed much of her time to activities outside of the classroom, such as serving as the Programming Director for the Department of Academic Affairs, the Secretary of her dorm’s Hall Council, a board member of the Marketing Club, and a team member for various projects through the Student International Business Council.

She is also a Deloitte International Business Scholar, where she studies international business through an ethical lens.

Aya’s favorite Notre Dame tradition is when everyone wears “The Shirt” to the first home football game of each season because it affirms our place as a tight knit community.

You can ask Aya about life as a Muslim student on Notre Dame’s campus, being a woman in a predominantly male business school, how to get involved with hall council, and anything else about Notre Dame!
