ND Marching Band celebrates an Irish touchdown

So...You got into Notre Dame and all your dreams are becoming reality!

I remember when I first got in...three years ago! It was a week before I left for Spring Visit and I was one of the few people who still didn't have their hearts 100% set on becoming one of the Fighting Irish. (I know, I was truly crazy for even hesitating.) But there were a few things that I did that I believe are essential for any admittance.

1. CELEBRATE

You've worked incredibly hard. Your parents have worked incredibly hard. Everyone and everything in your life have prepared you for this very moment. Enjoy it! Take a deep breath in and do an Irish jig!

2. Call Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie, and Uncle

This is a big moment in your life and it deserves to be shouted from the rooftops! Make sure that everyone knows! Even your 5th grade babysitter...everyone needs to know of this incredible accomplishment!

3. Do Your ND Research

I'm sure you already have a major in mind, or maybe just a college of study. But, do you know all of our residence halls? Do you know what resources we have for financial aid? Do you read our student blog? Do you follow us on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook? All of these things really helped me gain a greater understanding of what being Irish meant and how it looked for a multitude of students.

4. Continue to Ace Senior Year

While you have been admitted, you have to still work hard and finish senior year strong! You've done so amazing so far and we know that this admission will not deter that. Keep strong! Go Irish, Beat Senioritis!

5. Confirm Your Enrollment

The last thing to do is to confirm your enrollment! The May 1st deadline is crucial and we know just how important it is to you. Find out everything you need to know here!

Make sure to soak it all up!
