Financial Aid

The Office of Student Financial Services administers a broad array of financial aid programs and payment options to assist in financing a Notre Dame education. Notre Dame includes financial need as a criterion in awarding financial aid, including scholarship assistance. Additional information regarding financial aid at Notre Dame is available at financialaid.nd.edu.

Students who wish to be considered for financial assistance, including scholarships, grants, loan, and work, should submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) along with the CSS Profile. In addition to the FAFSA and Profile, students and parents are asked to submit signed copies of their Federal Tax Returns and W-2 Forms through the Institutional Document Service (IDOC).

Applicants should complete the CSS Profile and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 31 (for enrollment in the fall) or by November 15 (for enrollment in the spring). If you have applied for financial aid, your award notification from the Office of Financial Aid should follow shortly after your admissions letter. If the Office of Financial Aid requires any additional information from you, please note that you will be contacted directly via the email address you provided in your Common Application. If you have any questions about this process or the status of your award notification, please contact the Office of Financial Aid directly at (574) 631-6436 or finaid@nd.edu.
